UandI Entertainment Design

Hey all,

I will be focusing my attention in another area for a while. I hope to be back posting in a couple of weeks or a month. See eveyone back soon!

UandI design

Well, here are a few Roller bomb launcher designs. For this concept I decided to take a peak at  power tools and see if I could adopt a unique handle. The handle style I tried here is similar to a circular saw. Still one more design to include to finish off this post.

You’ll have to excuse me for the whacky color palette. I’m doing my best to develop a method to produce a faster render that looks interesting and shows form. Not quite there yet!

Cheers.

Here are two of three Roller Bomb designs. The bomb travels in a straight line and navigates any plane or obstruction in its path and only explodes upon contact with organic material ( there is a quick sketch illustrating this). The third illustration will be posted shortly and will consist of a launching mechanism to send the bomb on its way.

The first is a hand powered version that would function in the same manner as your toy hot wheels car. Press the tred of the tire against the ground plane pulling towards your body which sets an internal charge, and then release the bomb and it takes off!

The second is a self powered bomb that you aim in the direction you want the bomb to travel and let it go!

I decided to take a break from designing guns and focus on explosives for a little while. Here are a few preliminary sketches for a plasma grenade. Following these designs I will post a variety of hand projectiles, that will include the usual suspects…frag, smoke, incendiary, and chemical grenades (maybe even a few new grenade types). I will also include sketches that will explain the theory behind how the grenade functions.

As always, I’m looking forward to hearing your feedback!

smg_buzzard_purpleNot much to say here…I took a stab at a new color combination for the Sub Machine Gun’s body.

Hopefully this doesn`t look hello kitty style…I`m trying my best to resist the urge!

smg_buzzardHere is the futuristic Sub Machine Gun I’ve dubbed the Buzzard. There are still a couple of areas that I’m going to refine or at the very least explore, such as the bottom arm (how it attaches), possible graphics, and a few color options. I’ll hopefully have those up shortly; for now I hope you enjoy the render.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Well, I think the general look is nailed down for the SMG. Each version has minor differences, such as number of holes, grip, barrels, and body length/height. From here I can mix and match design elements between the SMG’s I have created to finalize a drawing for a Photoshop render.

Looking forward to hearing your comments,
Cheers!

smg_2So, its been a little while since our last post!

Here are a few redierations of the previous designs. I decided to drop the  projection off of the top of the Sub Machine Guns, since the top arm would obstruct the characters vision when aiming and firing during game play. The black studed parts on the Sub Machine Guns is the secondary hand placement where the player would cradle the gun.

The design direction in the bottom row has the look and feel I want for the Sub Machine Gun. I think the style will mesh well with the El’Pistelero.

Here we go again!

Well, I’m not going to lie…I think I have some more roughs in my future. I’m fairly happy with my attempt to abstract from the previous designs that felt very military like in their detailing and structure. I think a few of these Sub Machine Gun designs have potential, though they just need a little more time on the board. So, please hammer these designs with comments!!

I could use some opinions outside the box!

So, here we have the first pass.  At this point in the design stage, I’m trying not to get bogged down with details and just focus on simple shapes. Every once in a while I see a silhouette that could have potential. Which is what the next stage is all about! Taking a few of my favorites and start blocking in “gun like details” (4 pages to have a peak at).

Look forward to hearing your comments!
